Before travelling
For which bus lines can I buy tickets?
Livno-Bus offers you the possibility of safe and comfortable travel both within and outside the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, you can travel on one of our two regular lines Livno - Mostar and Livno - Sarajevo, while our international lines include destinations such as Germany (Freilassing, Rosenheim, München, Landshut, Augsburg, Ulm, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe and Frankfurt ).
When is the earliest I can buy a ticket for desired date?
Should you decide to travel by one of our recognizable buses, you can buy a ticket at the earliest 3 months before the desired date.
How can I purchase a ticket?
The simplest way to purchase a ticket is directly from our web page or getbybus. This way, you also ensure the best price. You will receive the purchase confirmation on your e-mail address (also check the spam folder).
Additionally, you can buy a ticket at one of our sale points / travel agencies or directly from the bus driver. Please note that you have to pay the regular price for tickets purchased on the bus (for adults and children) and that you can only buy a ticket if there are still available seats. Discounts and special prices for tickets purchased on the bus are unfortunately not available.
Can I reserve a ticket for someone else too?
Yes, that's no problem at all. Always make sure that the reservation confirmation, i.e. the ticket, arrives at the e-mail address specified in the reservation. Also make sure that the person you are making the reservation for gets the reserved ticket.
Important travel information is sent to the specified phone number. Therefore, when making a reservation, please enter the passenger's mobile phone number.
It is very important that you provide the correct names of passengers.
How can I find the bus stops?
By reviewing our timetable of regular lines you can see a list of our departure points. By clicking on the city in question, you can find out the address of the station(s) and see the map.
Will a bus wait for me if I am a little late?
Our buses operate in regular passenger transport and are tied to the timetable. That is why the driver unfortunately cannot wait for a passenger who will be late. It is important to plan enough time to arrive at the station and to be at the bus at least 15 minutes before departure.
Traveling with a child or a child traveling unaccompanied by an adult - what to pay attention to?
Children and minors under the age of 10 are allowed to travel on domestic and international lines only when accompanied by an adult.
Small children up to the age of 3 may only be transported in a child seat. During the trip, children should be fastened with the safety belt located on the seat. The booster seat for small children should be fastened with a belt in two fastening points, and must be carried by the person accompanying the small child.
Children and minors who have not yet reached the age of 10 are transported on all domestic and international lines only if they are accompanied on the journey by a person who has reached the age of 18.
Children and minors between the ages of 10 and 14 are allowed to travel on our buses unaccompanied only if the legal guardian has provided us with a written confirmation during the reservation process that the minor is fit and able to travel alone and without supervision.
Persons over the age of 15 are allowed to travel with us alone. On international lines, legal guardians must ensure that minors take with them all the paperwork and/or documents necessary to cross the state border.
What should attention be paid to when traveling abroad?
Pay attention to the fact that, when traveling to a foreign country, you must carry all the necessary documents and that you may only carry goods that are not subject of customs duties. Passport, visa, foreign currency and health regulations should be followed. In case of questions regarding customs regulations, contact your local police and/or customs services.
Can I reserve a specific seat?
You can reserve your favorite seat on some lines.
If we offer the seat reservation option on your line, it will be displayed during the ticket reservation process after entering the passenger information. Seat reservations are possible in our agencies and at our sales points. Unfortunately, this option does not yet exist for tickets purchased inside the bus.
You will find the seat number on your ticket. On our buses where it is possible to reserve a specific seat, the dark gray seat numbers are displayed at eye level on the hand luggage compartments or under the bus windows.
In some of our buses there is no seat reservation option.
You always have one seat saved for you in our buses.
In buses without the seat reservation option, as a rule, the free choice of seat applies. If you want to occupy a specific seat, we recommend that you get on the bus as early as possible. If you don't get your favorite seat on the bus, simply ask other passengers if they want to switch seats. Passengers with limited mobility have priority when choosing a seat.
In the bus
Do I need a ticket to get on the bus?
It is not necessary to have a bus ticket to get on the bus, because Livno-Bus offers you the option of buying a ticket inside the bus. All you have to do is contact one of our drivers who will always be happy to help you.
How much luggage can I bring?
In order to make your trip as comfortable and safe as possible, take into account our regulations. It is allowed to take 1 (one) piece of hand luggage and 2 (two) pieces of travel luggage on the bus.
Hand luggage
For safety reasons, hand luggage must be placed under the seat or in the compartment above your seat.
Note: Always take all valuables (documents, electronics, etc.) with you in hand luggage.
Travel luggage
Your travel luggage should be stowed in the luggage compartment before entering the bus. The bus driver will be happy to help you with that. We recommend that you mark your bag with your name and address.
Are food and drinks allowed on the bus?
We would like you to feel comfortable during your trip, so you can eat and drink on our buses. A few notes about respecting fellow travelers:
- in order to make everyone feel comfortable, do not eat foods with a strong smell
- leave your seat in the condition in which you would like to find it (without crumbs, leftover food or waste). There are waste bins in the bus.
- passengers who drink too much alcohol or behave inappropriately may be denied the right to travel in our buses
What are the safety measures on the bus?
In the bus, as well as in cars, the obligation to wear a seat belt applies. Each seat is equipped with a safety belt that you must wear during the trip.
Travel luggage, additional luggage and luggage of non-standard sizes are transported in the luggage compartment. The driver makes sure that they are fitted properly. Hand luggage should be placed in the compartments above the seat or under the seat in front of you.
Your safety is the most important thing to us. All vehicles and electronic devices are tested to the highest standards and regularly maintained. Drivers are specially trained for passenger transport and receive regular training. They must strictly adhere to the prescribed times for rest and driving. That is why on longer journeys, if necessary, two drivers or longer breaks for rest are provided. Due to delays according to the timetable, unplanned breaks are also possible in special cases. We ask for your understanding.
How are the buses equipped? Do they have toilets, drinks, power sockets, internet?
Our buses have air conditioning, toilets, reading lights and comfortable seats. In addition, we offer free Wi-Fi and on some buses we offer refreshments, power outlets and a media center for playing movies and music on demand.
Note that we are using Wi-Fi in test mode. It is possible that during the trip you are occasionally in an area without internet coverage or that not all passengers can surf the internet at the same time. It may, although very rarely, happen that free Wi-Fi is not available or there are not enough power sockets.
Can I spontaneously buy a ticket on the bus?
Yes, that is usually possible. However, keep in mind that the tickets for your desired bus may already be sold out. That is why we cannot guarantee you a spontaneous purchase of a ticket on the bus.
You can buy tickets on the bus from our drivers. Please make sure you have enough cash, as payment by bank or credit card is not possible.
The bus ticket is sold at the normal price, which means that it will be significantly more expensive compared to the numerous early booking discounts on our web site.
Have a nice trip!
Are pets allowed on the bus?
For safety reasons, pets are not allowed on our buses.
Exceptions are guide dogs for the blind and companion dogs if they are accompanying passengers with disabilities and if this is stated on the official disability card, specialist's certificate or doctor’s certificate.
Their transportation is free of charge, but it should be announced via the contact form no later than 36 hours before departure. Contact us by clicking the Contact Us button below.
